Denver – Snowshoeing Trek

Join us for one of our favorite winter activities – Snowshoeing!

Come join Women In Healthcare for Snowshoeing.  We can’t predict the weather, so if there is no snow we will switch to a 4-5 mile hike in the same vicinity.  Bundle up and bring your own snowshoes.  Rentals are available at REI or a Christy Sports near you.  Masks and social distancing will be required to make this a safe event.

Location:

Snowshoe Hare Trail: 3.0. Miles (Golden Gate Canyon State Park $10/vehicle)

Parking Logistics/Options:

• The Directions in the All Trails link should take you to the correct place (Aspen Meadows Campground Road). It may be closed in the winter, in which case we can park at the gate or along the road nearby. This adds an extra .25 mile each way, no sweat.
• There’s a pull off as you enter the State Park where you pay ($9 or $10) cash in an envelope & add the receipt to your windshield. Honor System. Or carpool with someone who has a Colorado State Park Pass. 
• There’s a small carpool lot on the SE corner of Hwy 93 & Hwy 72 (Coal Creek Canyon)
• If there is no snow we will just hike!

Cancellation for refunds will no longer be accepted after 7 days prior to the event.
